2022 Committee Goals: 

  • Develop research goals for the association.
  • To focus on creating cannabis research continuing education opportunities for nurses and other interested healthcare professionals.
  • To advocate for patients through research and educational opportunities.
  • To establish research and evidence-based practice as a foundation for cannabis nursing.
  • Enhance membership access to current cannabis research and partner with organizations that offer scientific content. 
  • Initiate Quarterly Journal Club.
  • Webinar: How to evaluate cannabis research and how to submit a journal article for publication.
  • Obtain membership access to CannaKeys 360: Cannabinoid Health Sciences Research Databank.
  • Collaborates with Education, Communications, Diversity and Inclusion, Social Media, Student, Credentialing and Policy and Government Affairs Committees.

Service Qualifications:

  • Preferred: MSN or PhD degree or currently enrolled in nursing (or closely related field) program.
  • Previous research experience a plus.
  • Meets on a bi-monthly basis; Chair reports to Executive Committee monthly.
