Policy & Government Advocacy Committee

2022 Committee Goals:
- Develop policy, white papers and position statements in line with ACNA's mission and values.
- Prepare members to respond to legislation at federal, state and local levels.
- Draft an ACNA Government Affairs process NLT April 20, 2021, with CH assist, to support ACNA BOD-approved Federal, State & Local Policy issues.
- Complete the P&GA draft "Drug Testing" position statement NLT June 30, 2021.
- Potential Top Legislation Priorities:
- Special Interest Groups.
- Responding as ACNA to federal bills.
- Prep members to respond to state/local issues.
- We work collaboratively with other ACNA Committees, as needed.
Service Qualities Desired, But Not Necessary:
- Strong written communications skills a plus.
- Previous advocacy and legislative experience a plus.
Meetings & Reporting
- We meet monthly on the second Thursday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
- Chair reports to Executive Committee monthly.
