Advocacy for Diversity & Inclusion Committee

2022 Committee Goals: 

  • Enhance our understanding of diversity and inclusion issues. Goal met by: Having all the committees have a discussion about diversity and inclusion and evaluate the findings in our committee.
  • To promote understanding of diversity and inclusion in and throughout ACNA. Goal met by: getting that evaluated data back to the committees along with rationales of findings.
  • Develop, improve and/or modify promotional materials so that they are culturally sensitive and accessible to all NURSES interested cannabis nursing.  Goal met by making a concerted effort to review and modify ACNA website and marketing materials to show more inclusive images, and highlight notable emerging leaders in underrepresented groups.
  • Collaborates with all ACNA Committees.

Service Qualifications:

  • Ability to respond to members questions and concerns around diversity, equity and inclusion in a professional and open manner.
  • Strong written communications skills a plus.
  • Meets on a bi-monthly basis; Chair reports to Executive Committee monthly.
